Project Constraints
The main constraint of this project was to design a simple piece of furniture to help build an understanding of the necessary structures and fine details that go into wooden furniture.

The user
My intended user for this product is someone who is beginning their vinyl collection. It can be difficult to find a beginner friendly storage and display for turn tables and records. Many common storage solutions are bulky and take up a lot of space. I wanted to fix that problem.
INSPIRATION
For this project I took most of my form inspiration from the vinyl records that are intended to be stored on this table. The rounded ends are clearly reminiscent of the shape of a vinyl record, and all of the measurements are intended to accommodate the standard size of a LP record.
IDeation
During sketch ideation I played around with many different types of construction, and how the actual storage of the records would work.
CaD Iteration
Once reaching the CAD stage the majority of the form was nailed down, it was mostly details and ratios that needed to be worked.
Build process
Each iteration focused on the storage of the battery, dimmer switch and LED strip.
